This night was billed as an evening of worship with Michael W. Smith,
and it lived up to its billing. It was Smitty at his finest, in worship, while
revealing a personal side.
Local boy Jon Buller warmed up the crowd with ‘Meet me in the River’ as
well as other ‘Hear the Music’ night favourites. The loud applause and
almost hysterical crowd reaction to Smitty’s entrance, was a sure sign
that ‘Star Power’ was in the ‘Peg.
Til almost 3 hours Michael W. Smith, treated fans and worshippers to
favourites and apologized for not having been back to Winnipeg in 13 years.
Let’s hope that next time isn’t so long.
